Religion Vs. World

Since the beginning of time, mankind has evolved in every aspect imaginable. Huts transform to skyscrapers, and grass soon turns to concrete, making the world we call home vastly different from the past. Through all this change, war is the only one trait that has remained a constant factor in the human race. The reasoning behind war can be seen as a collection of vast staggering staircases, all dwindling down to the same floor. Although this floor may appear endless, the materials comprised in this floor are simple; power from religion and religion from power. This recipe for war has created a constant clash over power and beliefs, crippling many great empires, and affecting every living soul on this Earth. Various belief systems are scattered across the globe, but a difference in opinion is never justified by violence. Civilized beings find solutions, and religion should be no different. A prophet once said, “What cannot be changed should be combined, and what cannot be combined should not exist.” Most people to this day do not understand his reasoning the way I do. The evidence of united world religion is clearly present, most just are not lucky enough to stumble upon it the way I did.

The history of religion covers several thousand years, each having separate values and beliefs. I do agree that every religion does have certain aspects that are different, but the similarities are astonishing. Several years ago a documentary by the name of Zeitgeist appeared on the Internet. Although this documentary became very popular for disproving the existence of God, others took the information presented and formed their own theory. Zeitgeist gives an in-depth comparison of several hundred religions, which side by side literally look almost identical. Most religions had the exact same events in similar time frames, separated only by the names of who was involved. Imagine the little differences between denominations of Christianity on a magnified scale. Instead of Baptists and Catholics, compare religions in entirety like Christianity and Islam. The world has little hatred between Baptists and Catholics, yet the list between Christian and Islamic followers seems endless. After research, it became clear to me that between the cracks of that staircase floor laid an idea of beliefs completely unseen by virtually everyone. What if mankind was wrong all along, and while our wars raged on, the one true God looked down upon us in disgust and shame.

The Holy Bible refers in simplicity states that those who believe Jesus died for their sins will spend eternity in heaven, and those who do not, will spend it in the depths of hell. If this statement were true, imagine the millions of underprivileged people across the world who have never even heard of Christianity. Several third world countries are denied the simple luxury of clean water, let alone the information needed to learn an entire religion. Christ is based on a god who is fair and just, who in no way would punish millions of men and women for something that they have no control over. After asking several religious leaders about this topic, not one could give me a straightforward answer. This led me to develop my own theory. A god that is unjust and not fair is not a god at all. This theory caused me to believe that my god is the worlds’ god, and the worlds’ god is my god.

Over the past few hundred years records state several cases of humans regaining life after being considered deceased. In the 1950’s, the Russian government killed a man by the name of George Rodinia as he was attempting to reach America. Three days later he regained life while in the morgue. Before this accident George and his family were devoted Atheists. His experience astonished millions, but the true miracle occurred while he was deceased. He states, “During this time the light just radiated a sense of peace and joy to me. It was very positive. I learned that all the physical rules for human life were nothing when compared to our ultimate reality. I went back and lived in the minds of Jesus and his disciples. I heard their conversations, yet I had no body. I was pure consciousness. If I didn't understand what was happening, an explanation would come, but no teacher spoke.” After traveling to America, George became a devoted Pastor for several churches and spoke around the country about his experience. Every single interview I have studied has literally demanded my attention, causing me to consider things I never thought possible. In his last days, George described God as a chameleon in a sense. From his words, God takes no definite shape, and covers no single religion. In death we all come to find that our opinions and view converge into one, leaving us at peace.

The world takes shape as a whole, and that is just how God views it. Each soul has the option to believe in some form of a higher power, and truthfully the name has no importance. If we all live with a sense of faith, our departure from this world may just be the beginning of something our minds cannot even begin to fathom. God’s love for each and every person is eternal, and that will always remain a constant. No religion is deprived of my god, and no religion is deprived of your god; its all just an array of overlapping staircases that lead to the same floor.
